Stop SOPA; Save the Internet!
We interrupt this blog’s queue posts for a very important broadcast newsflash.
If you haven’t heard already, a bill is being passed by the American Government called the Stop Online Piracy Act. Basically, this law is meant to combat online piracy (duh), but it will allow the US Government and entertainment industries to block ANY websites with copyrighted material.
What does this mean? We may very well be losing Facebook, Youtube, or even Google! Tumblr will also be affected by this bill, subsequently affecting Question L itself. Basically, the Internet would be a boring place… with no L!
However, hope does remain. Free speech champions in congress are willing to hear the people’s opinion before passing the law! In particular, a huge petition has already been created against SOPA. A link to the petition is provided below, and if you can, please sign!
Save the Internet!
I thank all of you have taken the time to read this, and especially those who signed it! Please, feel free to spread the word as much as you can! We have the power, people!
